For plumbing businesses

Exclusive quote requests, in the suburbs you actually work in.

One request goes to one plumbing business. It arrives in your inbox with the homeowner’s details, the job type and their POPIA consent already recorded — not in a WhatsApp group with four of your competitors.

Tell us the suburbs you cover, which of the 4 job types you want, and your PIRB registration or IOPSA membership. We reply to every plumbing business that writes to us, including the ones we cannot place.

What you are buying

A request worth attending

The standard lead-generation model sells one homeowner's number to four or five contractors and calls the resulting phone race a service. We took the opposite decision, and everything else on this page follows from it.

Exclusive

One suburb, one business

The request is yours. We do not sell it again, and the homeowner is not being called by anyone else we sent it to, because we did not send it to anyone else.

By email

Into your inbox

A formatted email per request, with a reference number you can quote back to us. Forward it to a technician, file it against a job card, find it again in a year.

POPIA

Consent on record

The homeowner agreed, in writing, that their details may be shared with one local plumbing business. The exact wording and the timestamp come with the lead.

Priced by you

No rate card to undercut

We never publish plumbing prices or ranges, so nobody arrives at your quote holding a number this site invented. You inspect the job and you set the figure.

Delivery

Leads arrive by email, not WhatsApp

This is a deliberate decision, not a limitation we have not got round to fixing yet.

  • A written record of exactly what the homeowner asked for, in the words they used.
  • Something you can forward to whichever technician is closest, without re-typing it.
  • A searchable history when a customer rings back three months later about the same geyser.
  • Proof of how you obtained the number, with the POPIA consent wording attached, if anyone ever asks.
  • One inbox per business rather than personal mobile numbers scattered across a group chat.

Nominate any address you like, including a shared one such as jobs@yourplumbing.co.za. If you want requests pushed into a CRM or a job-management system instead, say so and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it.

Emergencies are flagged

When a homeowner says water is running right now, the subject line of the email is marked urgent. What you do with that is your call, but you will not have to read the body to find out.

Getting started

From your first email to your first lead

No portal to log into, no onboarding call, no dashboard you will never open.

  1. 01Email localquote@agentmail.to with your business name, the suburbs you cover, the job types you want and your PIRB registration or IOPSA membership.
  2. 02We tell you whether that area is already committed to another business. If it is, we say so rather than taking your money and splitting the requests.
  3. 03We agree what a lead costs for your areas and job types, in writing, before anything is sent.
  4. 04You give us the inbox that should receive the requests, and we send a sample so you can see the format and check it is not landing in junk.
  5. 05Requests start arriving as homeowners in those suburbs submit them. You contact the homeowner, inspect the job and quote it yourself.

Our side

What we commit to

  • One request goes to one business. Exclusivity is the product, not an upgrade tier.
  • Every lead is delivered by email with the POPIA consent wording and timestamp attached.
  • We agree the cost of a lead with you in writing before we send you anything.
  • We tell you when a suburb is already taken instead of quietly doubling it up.
  • We publish 44 city and job pages across 11 cities, and we keep the local detail on them correct.
  • We stop sending when you ask us to stop.

Your side

What we ask of you

  • Be a registered South African plumbing business, with PIRB registration or IOPSA membership where the work calls for it.
  • Contact the homeowner promptly. A lead that sits for three days is a homeowner who has already phoned someone else.
  • Quote the job after you have looked at it, and stand behind the figure you give.
  • Tell us when a request is outside your area so we can place it properly next time.
  • Treat the homeowner's details as personal information under POPIA, because that is what they are.
  • Do not pass the request to another contractor without telling the homeowner who is coming.

Plainly

What we will not do, including to you

Most of what plumbing businesses dislike about lead sites comes down to the same handful of practices. Ours are written down so you can hold us to them.

  1. 01We will not sell the same request to a second business, at a discount or at any price.
  2. 02We will not publish plumbing prices, ranges or rate cards, so no homeowner arrives at your quote holding a number we invented.
  3. 03We will not publish reviews, ratings, testimonials or star scores that we have not verified — not for you, and not for anyone else.
  4. 04We will not quote you traffic figures, monthly lead volumes or conversion rates that we cannot show you.
  5. 05We will not run this under any brand except LocalQuote SA on plumbquotesa.com, and we will not white-label it as your company.
  6. 06We will not describe ourselves as a plumbing company, or let a homeowner believe we vouch for the workmanship.
  7. 07We will not keep sending requests after you have told us to stop.

POPIA

Where you stand on the personal information

Worth reading properly, because the obligation transfers to you the moment the email lands.

LocalQuote SA collects the request and is the responsible party for that collection. The homeowner consents, in the words set out in our privacy notice, to their information being shared with one local plumbing business so that the business can contact them about the job. That consent and its timestamp travel with the lead.

Once the request reaches you, you become responsible for your own processing of it under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013. Use it to contact the homeowner about this job. Adding them to a marketing list, passing them to another contractor or keeping them indefinitely are your decisions and your liability, not ours.

If a homeowner withdraws consent or asks for deletion, we act on our copy and we will tell you so that you can act on yours.

Practical, not theoretical

Keep the lead emails. They are the cleanest evidence you have of a lawful basis for holding a customer’s number, and they cost you nothing to retain in the inbox you already pay for.

Where we are right now

An honest word about volume

This is a young publisher. The city and job pages are live, the request flow works and the coverage is real, but we are not going to dress that up with a monthly lead figure we cannot stand behind. Write to us and we will tell you exactly what we are seeing in your area, including when the answer is “not much yet”.

Questions

What plumbing businesses ask us first

What does exclusive actually mean here?

One quote request goes to one plumbing business. We do not send the same request to a second business, we do not resell it later, and we do not run a race to see who phones the homeowner first. If we cannot place a request with anyone covering that suburb, it stays unplaced rather than being spread around.

How do the leads reach me?

By email, to the address you nominate. Every request arrives as a formatted email with a reference number starting LQ-, the homeowner's details, the job type and the POPIA consent timestamp. We do not deliver leads over WhatsApp.

Why not WhatsApp?

Because a lead is personal information, and WhatsApp is a poor place to keep it. Email gives you a written record you can forward to a technician, search months later, attach to a job card and produce if someone asks how you obtained a customer's number. A number pasted into a group chat gives you none of that.

What does a lead cost?

We agree that with you by email, per area and job type, before we send you anything. We do not publish a rate card for leads for the same reason we do not publish plumbing prices: a number written before we have discussed your area and your job mix would be invented. Ask us and you will get a real figure in writing.

How many leads will I get a month?

We will not give you a figure we cannot prove. Anyone quoting you a guaranteed monthly volume for a suburb before they have run it is guessing, and you would be paying for the guess. We will tell you plainly what we are seeing in your area and let you decide.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. Tell us to stop and we stop sending you requests. We would rather you stayed because the requests are worth attending than because of a notice period.

What if a lead is not genuine?

Tell us, with the reference number, and we will look at it. A wrong number, a request outside your area or somebody testing the form is not a lead and we will not treat it as one.

Can you send me leads under my own brand?

No. We publish one brand, LocalQuote SA on plumbquotesa.com, and the homeowner is told plainly that we are a referral publisher and that one local plumbing business will contact them. We do not run white-labelled clones of this site and we will not tell a homeowner that they are dealing with your company when they are not.

Anything else, or a correction to something on one of our city pages? Write to localquote@agentmail.to or use the contact page.

Tell us your suburbs

One email is enough to start.

Business name, the suburbs you cover, the job types you want, and your PIRB or IOPSA details. We will tell you what is available and what a lead costs, in writing.
