LocalQuote SA publishes information about plumbing work in South Africa and passes quote requests to plumbing businesses. We are a lead-referral publisher. We are not a plumbing contractor, we do not employ plumbers, and we do not carry out, supervise or inspect plumbing work.

Nothing on this site is a price, an estimate, a quotation or an offer to perform work. We deliberately do not publish rates, rate cards or price ranges. Any figure you receive comes from the plumbing business that inspects your job, and it is theirs.

If you engage a plumbing business we referred you to, the agreement for that work is between you and them. They are responsible for the quality, timing, safety and compliance of the work, for the certificates they issue, and for their own pricing and payment terms.

We are not a party to that agreement, we do not receive a share of the amount you pay for the work, and we cannot enforce it on your behalf. Disputes about workmanship, price or conduct must be raised with the business, and where relevant with the applicable industry body or regulator.

The reference material on this site is general guidance written for South African homeowners. It is not legal, engineering, insurance or regulatory advice, and it is not a substitute for a registered plumber inspecting your property.

Standards, municipal by-laws and municipal processes change, and they differ between municipalities. Confirm anything that matters to a decision with your municipality, your conveyancer, your insurer, or a plumber registered with the Plumbing Industry Registration Board.

This site cannot help you in an emergency in real time. If water is escaping, isolate the supply. If water is near electrical fittings or a distribution board, switch off the main breaker and stay out of the water. Where there is a risk to life or property, contact emergency services or your municipality directly.

You may only submit a request for a property you own, occupy or are authorised to arrange work for, and you must give accurate contact details. Submitting someone else's details without their knowledge, or using the form for marketing, scraping or automated submissions, is not permitted.

We limit how often the form may be submitted from the same source and may decline or discard requests that appear automated or abusive.

We publish pages for the areas we cover, but we cannot guarantee that a plumbing business is available for every suburb, at every hour, for every job. If we have nobody who covers your request we will tell you rather than pass it on to someone unsuitable.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of this site.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from work performed by a plumbing business, from reliance on the general guidance published here, or from any inability to use this site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act.

The text, structure and design of this site belong to LocalQuote SA. You may read, print and share pages for your own use. Republishing our content, or scraping it to build a competing directory, is not permitted without written permission.

We may update these terms. The review date at the top of this page changes when we do, and the version published at the time you submit a request is the one that applies to it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
